Private doesn’t mean unaccountable.

What the service processes
We process your sign-in email, internal account identifier, adult-age confirmation, accepted terms version and acceptance time, posts, messages, conversation timing, reports, blocks, feedback, notification delivery identifiers, and operational events. We do not offer public profiles or file uploads.
How text is handled
We use service providers to verify sign-ins, store and deliver conversations, and operate the service. OpenAI’s moderation model screens message and post text, sometimes including recent text from the same sender. We do not include your email or account ID in that moderation request.
Service providers also deliver sign-in emails and notifications, host this website, and help prevent automated abuse. Notification alerts use generic wording rather than message excerpts.
Ended conversations
Participants cannot reopen an ended transcript. Messages still exist temporarily in our systems: the current default is deletion eligibility 24 hours after the conversation ends. Reports hold relevant messages for 30 days from the report. Scheduled cleanup performs deletion; these periods are not an instantaneous deletion guarantee.
Account, post, conversation metadata, report, enforcement, and operational records are separate from message transcripts and may remain after messages are deleted, including where needed to investigate abuse or maintain service integrity. Deleting a conversation does not immediately erase backup copies. Contact us about retention or deletion of your information. We do not claim that ending a conversation immediately erases every copy.
Staff access
Reported evidence is available through a restricted in-app moderation area with authenticator verification. Moderation actions are recorded. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted.
Your choices
You can leave conversations, block participants, report concerns, and control notification permission in your device settings. Delete your account from Settings → Delete account. This disables account access, removes sign-in credentials, notification delivery identifiers and unheld authored message content, and redacts unheld post text. If sign-in removal is temporarily unavailable, we retry it automatically. Reported evidence remains for its disclosed hold period. Pseudonymous conversation and enforcement records remain for integrity and abuse prevention; a protected identifier derived from a banned email may be retained to prevent ban evasion. You can also request account deletion or ask about retained information by emailing support@gotaminute.app from your sign-in address. We may verify account ownership before acting. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes.
Product feedback
If you send product feedback in the app, we store your note and account identifier and email the note to the app owner. Your account email is included so the owner can reply. This feedback is private and separate from conversation ratings and safety reports.
Safety review and network information
When automated screening flags text, we retain the submitted text, limited context from that sender, classification scores, the model used and our delivery-policy decision for staff review. A flag is not a confirmed violation and does not automatically penalize an account. This evidence is retained for the safety-review period, currently 30 days. We record proxy-reported IP addresses at signup verification and when each participant first enters a conversation. These network observations are retained for 30 days and are visible only to authorized administrators during safety review. Addresses may be shared or masked and are not proof of identity. Staff access to review evidence is logged for 90 days.
Account notices and appeals
If your account is banned, we show an account notice and send an email. You may sign in to submit a private appeal and read our response. Moderators review appeals; administrators decide whether to restore access. Appeal text and replies are retained for 30 days by default. Decision audit records do not include the public reply. Delivered email notice metadata is retained for up to 90 days.
Optional usage and crash reports
You can opt in to usage analytics and crash diagnostics from Settings on your device. This helps us understand app usage and technical failures. Collection is off until you enable it, and you can turn it off again. The provider processes app-instance identifiers, device and app-version information, event timestamps, approximate location derived from masked network addresses, and technical diagnostics. Our custom events do not include conversation text, post text, report reasons, email addresses, account IDs, or IP addresses. Advertising identifier collection and personalized advertising are disabled. Turning this off does not disable the operational and safety records needed to run the service.
